A multimedia presentation will transport you to the majestic Des Pas and George Rivers, where an expedition was held from July 29th to August 26th of this year under the banner of The Big Wild Challenge.

    Montreal, September 2 - The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) and the Ecomuseum Zoo are thrilled to join forces to pursue their common objective of conserving the natural habitat of woodland caribou, a threatened species throughout Canada considered vulnerable in Quebec.

  • Quebec, May 13th 2008 - Public support for the The Big WildTM social movement continues to grow since its launch on May 5th. The Big WildTM spokespersons are meeting today at lunch with Line Beauchamp, Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment and Parks to present her with the population’s concerns for wilderness conservation. Already, more than 9 000 people have added their voice to support the vision of keeping at least half of Canada's public land and water wild forever.

  • November 4th, 2004 - The Montreal Chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) presents True North Wild and Free – an evening of stories, songs and images celebrating Canada's boreal forest. The evening is hosted by master storyteller James Raffan with special guest Justin Trudeau.

    The show is based on the spectacular new book, Rendezvous with the Wild - The Boreal Forest which includes contributions from David Suzuki, Cathy Jones, Sarah Harmer, David Schindler, Justin Trudeau and many more.
